[button text=”Grand Canyon” url=”http://www.nps.gov/grca/photosmultimedia/index.htm” newWindow=”true” /] is 90 minutes from our house and is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Our proximity to the Grand Canyon allows you to make a day trip or if you’re not up for the drive you can jump aboard the Grand Canyon Railway in Williams, Arizona and enjoy the high desert on your way to the Grand Canyon. Once you’re at the South Rim you can stroll the paths for that perfect picture or if you’re adventurous you can hike down the Bright Angel trail. Although the temperatures on the South Rim are similar to those in Flagstaff, as you hike down into the canyon the temperatures quickly rise. The temperatures at the bottom of the canyon in the summer can be as warm as Phoenix, around 30f warmer.
